Well it had been 2 years since Nora has left Torvald and alot of good and bad things has come Nora's way.

Nora: (rushing) Come on honey we are going to be late picking up the children at Torvald and Anna Marie's so we have to hurry because you know how Torvald and the children get whenever we are late.

Dr.Rank:(shouting) I am coming my dear! Don't worry we will be a early as pie and I know that Torvald will be very mad if we are late, but what does he expect 

 us to run to the party?

Nora: I know but he is such a hypocrite because when we are late picking up the children he flips out but when he is late coming to pick up his children we stay calm and don't say a word!

Dr.Rank: Nora my dear I know but that is how Torvald is and that is how he will always be.

Nora: That is true.

Torvald:(answering the door) What took the three of you so long? The children have been waiting for you all day.

Nora: Well we are here and tell them to come on! We have a lot of things planned for today.

Torvald:(calling the children) Mommy and Rank are here and they are ready to go.

Anna Marie: Hello Nora how have you been and how is the baby?

Nora: They baby is very healthy and doing well, how is your little one doing? 

Anna Marie: Great! Healthy as well.

Children: Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! We are so happy that you and Rank are here to take us out. 

Rank: Come guys lets go! 

Anna Marie: Well we don't make the same blundered mistake you made last time by letting the children eat whatever they what.

Nora:(mad) Don't tell me how to raise my children! If they what ice cream for breakfast I will let them have it.

Anna Marie: Well I did raise them, all you do is get them on the weekends. I raised them since the day you left.

Torvald evasion the whole conversation. So Rank steps instead to stop the arguing between Nora and Anna Marie.

Children:(waving) Bye daddy and Anna Marie we will see you Monday.

Nora:(hugging her babies in her arms) You guys are my true loves and Rank as well. I Love You Guys With All My Heart. I don't want to let you go. (Nora and Rank leaving with the children). (When Monday came Nora and Rank didn't give back the children)

Nora and Dr.Rank were finally able to be with one another at the end which was good because they were the ones that was suppose to grow old and lonely with one another. Dr.Rank found out that he wasn't really dying. Nora and Torvald were finally able to make up with one another and raise the children by co-parenting with eachother. Nils and Kristina been had there happily ever after ending and had a little baby boy named Joey. Nils finally got his reputation back and Kristina kept her job at the bank and raised the children.

       We have just recently finished Act II of A Doll House and in Act II things started to get very hot and steamy. Everyone had something to say about the other person and alot of people have confessed there desire for someone. In Act II the characters attitudes have changed and the mood of the play has also changed. The things that happened in Act I changed alot in Act II and there were alot of surprises ahead and there were surprises that no one seen coming. Nora is now seen as being  flirty and she is still naive and condescending and she is still a sneaky housewife. Nora big secret is still has not gone public and now only three people know about it and Torvald has no clue about what is going on in his house. There are alot of things that he doesn't know about that is going on in his house such as the flirty and relationship between Nora and Dr.Rank is very intolerable because she is a married women and a "happily" married women should not be flirting with her husband's best friend. She should not be asking him if a certain pair of silk stockings looks good on her. She also almost had the nerve of asking her husband best friend if she can borrow some money to payoff Krogstad who is manipulator and still likes to blackmail people just so he can get what he wants. Dr.Rank also confessed his love to Nora and I personally think that the two of them would be a very nice couple and Nora didn't really see Dr.Rank's confession coming her way.                             But if you ask me, I would have seen that coming from a mile away because why are you doing all of that flirting just to play with someone's heart and just for it to be destroyed. Nora told Dr. Rank You see, there are some people that one loves, and others that perhaps one would rather be with (Ibsen196). With that being said she would really rather be with Torvald because he reminds her of her father because he is very controlling, demanding and over protective. T-T Through the Tunnel because Jerry's mother was very over protective and it was hard for her to let her son go off on his own and do things without her. Rather than being with someone she loves who is Dr.Rank because she would like for someone to boss her around and to demanding her to do something. Now Dr.Ranks heart is broken and he really doesn't doesn't know how to respond to Nora's reaction to his confession. That's just what misled me. You're a mystery to me... I've sometimes thought you'de as soon be with me as with Helmer (Ibsen195).                                         Krogstad who is very disreputable and Nora had a conversation which was about Helmer firing him and how he had already written a note telling the whole truth about what Nora had done to Torvald. Krogstad who knows that he was fired by receiving a letter from Torvald himself telling him that he was let go tells Nora Your husband can't love you very much can he? He knows that I can expose you, and he dares to (Ibsen197).  Nora who stood up for herself and also her husband didn't believe anything of what Krogstad had to say. But Krogstad just kept going at it said Well, no- I didn't really think so ; it wouldn't be at all like worthy Torvald Helmer to have so much courage (Ibsen197). Mrs.Linde first thought that Nora borrowed the money from Dr. Rank and that the two of them were having an affair but when Nora told her that they weren't Kristina didn't really believe what Nora was telling her. But when she was told the truth that Krogstad was the one who indeed gave Nora the money to borrow and when Nora told her about Krogstad's plan to tell Helmer because he has fired him and about the letter that he wrote to Torvald stating what Nora had done which was forging a signature which was her fathers and borrowing money from Krogstad. Now that Mrs.Linde has heard that she wants to talk to Krogstad and convince him to take back the letter so that the truth won't be revealed. There was a time when he would gladly have done anything for me (Ibsen202).
        Nora who is now terrified because of the decision that she has had with Krogstad and is hoping that Mrs.Linde will have some success with convincing Krogstad to take back the letter she is trying to keep Torvald occupied so that he won't check the mailbox and read the letter that Krogstad has left behind. T-S I wouldn't have to be so worried about my husband finding out something what shouldn't have been done because we would share our problems with eachother and talk them out as a couple instead of hiding them and being secretive and sneaking around. So the only thing Nora could do was to ask her husband if he could help her with her tarantella dance for the dance that they would be attending the next day. But of course Torvald was excited to hear his wife say that she needed his help so his response was I promise This evening I'll be wholly and entirely at your service - you poor helpless little creature! Ah, but first, while I think of it, I must just. With all the excitement Nora was experiencing she had decided to have a huge festival for dinner and Torvald wasn't to happy about what Nora was doing because he thought that it was to much to have for dinner. At then end of Act II Nora has decided to commit suicide because she thinks that would be the best thing to do for herself. T-W With Nora trying to commit suicide it reminds me of Law & Order because she wants to put herself in a dangerous situation and wants to put herself in harms way.

      My class has just finished reading Act I of A Doll House. In Act I it showed how easily someone can blackmail another to get whatever they want and it brought out every one's true colors. In Act I the characters are introduced and some of the characters are hiding things from one another. Nora Helmer is hiding something big from her husband Trovald Helmer and the secret she is hiding is really big and until now she has kept it to herself until she told Mrs.Linde who is a childhood friend. Nora is a show off and she loves to brag about herself and her family to others. She isn't quiet smart and she is very sneaky and thinks about herself all the time. Torvald is her controlling and very demanding husband who wants to have things his way. He is kinda cheap and he likes to control his wife's spending habits. Torvald's acts toward his wife is very intolerable because he treat her like a little kid when she isn't and I think that he should probably change his ways. Nora acted very jauntily when Krogstad blackmailed her into telling Helmer to keep his position at the bank. She acted like and she didn't want to see her children right after Krogstad left. Torvald is going to be very reproached if and when she tells Torvald her big secret. Nora is telling a very big lie when she told her husband I wouldn't do anything that you don't like when she took money from Krogstad to help pay for her husband when he was sick and needed to go to Italy to get better. Korgstad also doesn't know that his wife is paying Krogsatad payments every month so that it can cover the cost for when she took the $1200 from him and forged her dying father's signature as a co-signer for the payments. T-T just like Sasha Uskov who also forged a signature.

      Torvald keeps track of the money his wife spends and he doesn't like when his wife eats macaroons. But when his wife spends money on unnecessary things Oh, very. That is , it would be if you really kept the money I give you, and with it. But if it goes in with the housekeeping and gets spent on all sorts of useless things, then I only have to pay out again. But when Nora does spend money on useless things he always puts her in check. Mrs.Linde who is Nora's childhood friend just recently lost her husband and she has been working all of her life to support her ill mother and two brothers. She had to work multiple jobs after her passed away because his company wasn't standing very strong after his passing. So she has came to see Nora and to see if she can come and get a job and that is when Nora told Kristen that she needs a nice vacation but she didn't have the money and then Nora got very upset because she was the one who actually the one who paid for their trip. When Kristen found about Torvald's promotion she thought that it was good news for her because he can get her a new job. No, Nora, it's you who mustn't be angry with me. That's the worst of my sort of life it makes you so better. There's no one to work for yet you can never relax . You must live, so you become self centered. Why, do you know, when you told me the news of your good fortune, I wasn't nearly so glad for your sake as for my own! When Mrs.Linde said that she was being very selfish and thinking about herself because she "knew" that she was going to get a job.

       Krogstad is a lawyer and he lent Nora the money for her husband's trip and he is blackmailing Nora into telling Torvald that Krogstad should keep his position at the Bank. Krogstad has also committed a crime and that was forging signatures. Nora hasn't ever told her husband about taking the money from Krogstad because she knows that Torvald has the pride that most men  have and he would be very hurt and humiliated if he thought he owed Nora something. T-S If I was Nora I wouldn't have to worry about hiding things from my husband because he and I wouldn't lie to one another and there wouldn't be any secrets to hide. We would both be open about what is going on. But if there were to be something like that I would tell my husband from the beginning and then we would talk about. I wouldn't have a relationship like Nora and Torvald because it isn't a healthy relationship and the both of them aren't happy in their marriage. T-W Act I of the play A Doll House reminds me of Scandal because there are alot of secrets going around and no one knows what is going on and about the lies that are going around behind their backs and the deception that is taking place.

     Hello Everyone, my name is Samiyyah also known as Miyyah. I am very funny, generous, honest, and smart. I am a sophomore at BHS, this school year has been great and quiet interesting.I really enjoy attending school and meeting new friends. I am 100% American and proud of my roots.     The reason why I am starting this blog is because I am going to start reading the play Doll House in English Class this week. My English Class is very difficult to describe and very weird and loud. The stories that I enjoyed reading in English Class were The Alchemist, Through The Tunnel and The Cabuliwallah. All three of these stories we read in English Class & they were all very good and interesting.

    I am looking forward to reading the play the Doll House because it seems like it will be very interesting and a good play to read. The play Doll House was written by Henrik Ibsen he was born on March 20, 1828 in Skien, Norway. Ibsen father was a successful merchant and his mother played the piano and she also like to paint. When Henrik was young he had an interest in becoming an artist. When Henrik was very young his family was poverty stricken because of his father's failing business. When he turned 15 he stopped going to school and started working as an apprentice in a apothecary in Grimstad. In the year of 1900 Henrik had several strokes and as a result he was unable to continue to write. Isben was married to Suzannah Daae Thoresen and they had one child together he also had an older son from a previous relationship he had with a maid while he was an apprentice.The title of the play relates to the author because the author had a real life friend who went through something similar to what happened to Nora and her husband Torvald Helmer.
